Our Litigation Department has a large and experienced team of lawyers who are committed to assisting clients in resolving their disputes through litigation. We recognise that alternative means to settle disputes have to be considered before resorting to the court. Nevertheless, where commercially appropriate we have no hesitation in resorting to litigation to achieve the client's objective and will pursue such litigation with enthusiasm, aggression and drive.

Court proceedings can be costly, and are a distraction, diverting time and resources from your real business. Mediation is the leading form of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and is fast growing in popularity as an alternative to the potentially expensive and unpredictable litigation route. Arbitration is a fundamentally different approach to managing and resolving disputes. The process involves the parties to a commercial dispute agreeing to appoint an expert independent arbitrator, who delivers what is usually a binding decision.

Our mediators and arbitrators have been specially trained in ADR techniques to help parties resolve their disputes, and act as a facilitator in the mediation process, which is voluntary, non-binding, confidential and without prejudice. Each has a solid commercial background and extensive experience of mediation and arbitration.
